The DAP X-18B is a professional, high quality subwoofer which was designed
and developed by the DAP Audio R&D department in the Netherlands. Special
attention is given to the transducer and passive crossover. This results in
a higher power handling capacity, high efficiency and a very wide and smooth
frequency response. The X-18B has a 18" driver with 4" voice coil and an
advanced cooling system. The long cone excursion gives minimal distortion at
full power. The black spray painted 18mm plywood (13-layers) cabinet is
fitted with a large vent which results in optimal Q-load for a very smooth
and deep frequency response. The Dap Audio X-18B is fitted with an internal
passive crossover which allows the subwoofer to be easily incorporated into
an existing system and maintain the 8Ω load on the amplifier. Or the
crossover can be switched out allowing the cabinet to be used in a bi-amp
installation. |
